Campus Life

A Safe and Comfortable Place You Will Call Home.

At Bass Memorial Academy, we strive to provide a safe, comfortable and healthy living environment that will support our students in their academic and student life. We aim to provide a family atmosphere at BMA. Each student is assigned to a “faculty family” which allows each student to be part of a family while away from home.

Bass Memorial Academy encourages student involvement in extracurricular organizations and activities. Our Student Association plans many social activities throughout the school year. Some of the major functions include: The Amazing Race, Golden Horse, SA Saturday Night, Lay It On The Barrell, Mega Marathon, Fall Festival, Fall Banquet, Valentine’s Banquet, Talent Show, and Class Challenge. Students can also choose to be a part of our touring groups, Boys’ and Girls’ club activities, National Honor society, intramurals and yearbook.

Teamwork and good sportsmanship are critical components of the athletic program at Bass Memorial Academy. All of our students have the opportunity to be a part of our Intramural program, where we play six different sports througho1,.1t the school year: volleyball, softball, flag football, floor hockey, basketball and soccer. We also offer a variety of optional tournaments on the weekend (i.e. 3-person volleyball, ping pong, badminton, pickleball, 3- person basketball, disc golf, and a mini-triathlon). Students also have the opportunity of joining the BMA Aero Eagles gymnastics team.

Learning to work responsibly is an important aspect of the educational experience at Bass Memorial Academy. Work experience develops self-confidence and prepares students for future contributions to society. Work opportunities are available on campus and in the school industries. Job assignments are based on ability, financial need, and class schedule.
