Bass Memorial Academy will issue an I-20 to the student.  You then obtain a student visa (F-1) by presenting the I-20 in your home country.  The student will be required to pay the $200 SEVIS fee online in order to obtain the student visa (F-1).

All students must have the following on file at BMA on or before registration day:

• An up-to-date immunization certificate (see Admissions section of the BMA Handbook for details). Students who don’t have all the necessary immunizations by the start of school will be required to visit the Mississippi Public Health Department within the first month of school to get the required immunizations. The Public Health Department charges for each vaccination given.
• A report of a recent (within one year) physical examination
• I-9 form – Employment Eligibility Verification
• W-4 form – Employee’s Withholding Certificate
• Copy of applicant’s medical insurance
• Copy of applicant’s birth certificate

Our ESL classes are designed to develop our students’ ability to communicate in the four main areas of language usage: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

International students who wish to graduate with a US diploma will be placed in courses based on their results from the Duolingo English Test. This test can be accessed at: https://englishtest.duolingo.com. You can take this test from your computer at home in under 1 hour. The cost is $49 USD.
