Position Summary:  Bass Memorial Academy is seeking applicants for a Plant Services Director.  The Plant Services Director is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of Bass Memorial Academy’s physical plant, as well as for the maintenance of all campus vehicles.  The director is also to be a certified bus driver who actively helps with the driving needs.  Applicants must have a strong desire to mentor young people and a willingness to serve others.  This is a full time, salaried position.  See below for a job description.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have post-secondary training with a trade certificate.  A bachelor’s degree in physical plant management or industrial arts is preferred.

    • A working knowledge of heating/cooling, refrigeration, plumbing, general repair, locksmithing, welding, and auto repair is essential.  Diesel mechanic experience would be helpful.  The director must have a CDL license (or be willing to obtain one) endorsed for passenger buses.  Should have five to six years’ experience in a variety of trades.

Music Director

 Position Summary:  The music director is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical growth.  The music director is responsible for overseeing the music groups, private music lessons, and music programming.  Care and upkeep of the music building and musical equipment, located in the building and other campus locations, is an integral part of the director’s responsibility. Applicants must have a strong desire to mentor young people and a willingness to serve others.  This is a full-time, salaried position that includes teaching Choir (Celeste), Handbells, and String Orchestra, plus three additional classes (potentially private music lessons, Band, or other classes depending on qualifications).  This position also oversees a small group called the AmBASSadors.  See below for a job description.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in music education with a secondary endorsement in music.
  • Required to have and maintain a valid teaching certificate issued by the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists.
  • Should have at least three years’ experience as a music teacher.
  • Must have performance knowledge for choir, handbells and string orchestra.
  • The ability to teach private music lessons is essential.

English Teacher

Information Technology Director

 Position Summary:  Bass Memorial Academy is seeking applicants for an Information Technology Director.  The Information Technology Director is responsible for the overall day-to-day administration of the information systems and technology components of Bass Memorial Academy, including the computer network, network infrastructure, faculty/staff/student devices, communication systems hardware and apps, website and domain management, video surveillance system, and telephone system.  Applicants must have a strong desire to mentor young people and a willingness to serve others.  This is a full-time, salaried position that includes teaching Computer Literacy and Robotics.  See below for a job description.

Chaplain

Position Summary:  Bass Memorial Academy is seeking applicants for a Chaplain.  The chaplain is responsible for the religious programming and outreach activities at Bass Memorial Academy.  They also work with the Pastor to run the Academy Campus Church.  The chaplain will also provide spiritual mentoring for the students of Bass Memorial Academy.  Applicants must have a strong desire to mentor young people and a willingness to serve others.  This is a full-time, salaried position that also includes teaching Religion III & IV.

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Religion.
  • Should possess, qualify for, or be willing to obtain a Designated Subject Certificate in Religion.
  • Should have at least five years’ experience in pastoral services.
  • A background in counseling is preferred.

Treasurer

Physical Education Teacher

 Position Summary:  Bass Memorial Academy is seeking applicants for a Physical Education Teacher.  The teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical growth.  The teacher is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success.  Applicants must have a strong desire to mentor young people and a willingness to serve others.  This is a full-time, salaried position that includes teaching Physical Education I, Physical Education II, Health, Assistant Coach of our Gymnastics team plus two additional classes (preferably Religion I & II), but other options exist depending on qualifications.  See below for a job description.
